Sculpture Artist


I saw Deborah G Rogers at the Va. Beach Boardwalk Art Show last week. I see her every now and then at these large shows.I wish you could see more of her work. I am always thrilled to see what she has done. Her work is so special. She is a self proclaimed "narrative sculptor". I only have one picture to show you of her work which I pulled from her business card. I could find nothing about her on the internet. She told me she was working on a website for later this year. I am looking forward to that. She has put in an application to the Craft and design Show and said if you don't see me there, they did not accept me. I told her they have scaled down the size but she belongs in that show and dont see why she would not be accepted.

Giant Rooster Art




I took these pictures at the Federated Warehouse which I just found out is no more. It was kind of a salvage store flea market with furniture, signs, very large scale items. This rooster caught my eye. I dont know how tall it was but much too large for me. I was sad to see the place closed down. It was a fun place to brouse. If you like something, you better take a picture of it before it is gone.

Green Product


Are you making an effort to recyle, reduce and reuse? I just received Bio Bag doggie poop bags in the mail. They are made from plants instead of petroleum and will compost in 45 days as opposed to 100 years. I believe these are sold at Whole Foods. I will have to do a cost comparison. I estimated this came to about .08 a bag. Go visit shop green duck .com and see a variety of bags as well as cups for cold and hot drinks, plates and cutlery. All are biodegradable so you would be doing the planet a great favor.

Diet talk


Anyone on a diet? I just tryed the Sacred Heart Medical Diet. I have tried to avoid a real diet for forever. I sucessfully completed the week of dieting and lost 4 lbs. I am very pleased with these results. I did not do any extra exersize either. Just my ususal dog walking. The diet promised 10- 17 lbs, but I knew that was just not going to happen for me. I have managed to not drink Diet Coke for 2 weeks also. I feel I can keep that craving at bay for now. I can't tell you how much I craved Diet Coke for so many years. I feel I have reset my eating habits. I am eating so much fruit. Happy Spring into Summer!!! Bon Appetit!!!

Face Book drive Give Away!!!





This is my first give away!!! I am trying to build my Face Book Fan list. I will run this for about 3 weeks so that I can reach enough people. I have a really cute pink shirt to offer up as the give away. This is an Anvil XL cotton shirt that measures 19 1/2 wide by 22 1/2 from top of neck to bottom. This is kind of an in between shirt. not clingy or boxy and oversized. Let me know if you have questions. The butterfly was done with batik. It is really in reverse. I apply the wax in all of the areas that are not the butterfly leaving a boarder and paint the dye on the butterfly.I let it dry completely and boil the wax out. Then I dyed the pink all over. OK the cut off date will be June 24th!!
